Experience an unforgettable Jeep safari & explore the East Side of Madeira Island

Come with us on our Madeira East tour to an enchanting side of the island which is full of plain nature.

Leaving Funchal, heading towards Pico do Arieiro we’ll pass through several higher points where Funchal can be seen, within the forest, driving sometimes the regional paths, known as Caminhos Reais, to enjoy the magic of nature.

Driving forwards and up to 1000m high, we’ll overlook Pine trees and fir trees, dominant vegetation that will transport you into a magic and invigorating scenery, along Casa de Abrigo do Poiso already at 1400m high.

On the way the Pico do Arieiro, we’ll again enjoy a very different natural scenery, which represents part of the Natural Park  and one of the military areas on the Island.

Arriving at Pico do Arieiro, you’ll have the privilege of witnessing some of the most astonishing views you’ll ever see.

We carry on to Ribeiro Ribeiro village, which is built- in the Laurissilva Forest and where you’ll be able to enjoy the Levada walk Balcões.

Proceeding inland, we’ll find some trace elements from other times, stating the hard life from a long time ago.

The experiences will carry on happening along the tour, with the highlight of the surprise of our off road track, that will lead us to the emblematic city of  Santana, where we will stop for lunch.

The return to Funchal we will be as well as pleasant and along the east coast of the island, stopping on the viewpoint of Guindaste for unforgettable photos. Afterwards, we’ll head to the village of Porto da Cruz where you’ll be visiting a Rum Factory known as Engenho do Norte, where you’ll be invited to taste the local rum.

Ponta de São Lourenço will be our last stop of the day, before arriving at Funchal, where both views of the ocean and the mountains will represent the Cherie on the cake.
